Dragonfire: choose your activity and prepare the right gear
Dragonfire adds three different combat activities and a connected reward system. Choose the activity first: entry methods, group sizes and equipment risk are not shared across all three.
Start with the encounter
Choose Ancient Lands for expedition islands, rival parties, Keystones and Drakes. Choose Dragon Sanctuary for the Waystone raid with Maeve and Azaryon. Watch open-world Dragon Attacks for a contribution-based world encounter.
| Activity | Entry | Preparation that matters |
|---|---|---|
| Ancient Lands | World portal and party ready-up | Portal size, loot rules and soft cap |
| Dragon Sanctuary | Appropriate Waystone | Raid composition and uncapped equipment |
| Dragon Attack | World-map warning | Travel, contribution and surrounding zone risk |
Follow a reward to its use
Dragonfire materials feed armor, potion, food and mount recipes. A Firewing Egg can lead to a Kennel project, while scales lead to Dragonslayer equipment. Draconic Insight advances a separate reward standing.
Use the actual item page as the junction between a recipe, a price comparison and the next tool. The new workshop tools keep the selected item rather than asking you to search for it again in each calculator.
Apply the September 8 changes
Patch 1 changes the entry windows and small-run lock, replaces fame-based island clearing with a mob objective, and adjusts several combat and Sanctuary behaviors. A launch guide that still says every entry window is three minutes is no longer current.
Crafting and Destiny Board changes also affect older plans. Keep crafting bonuses separate from the Ancient Lands cap and from a Waystone’s encounter selection.
