Dragonfire crafting, Destiny Board and combat changes

A pre-Dragonfire crafting or combat plan can have the right item and still use the wrong assumptions. The update changed specialization contributions and several combat rules; Patch 1 changed some launch values again.

Recheck specialization contributions

Dragonfire reorganized contributions within leather armor and potion crafting as the new families were added. These are per-level contributions from specific specialization nodes, not a flat multiplier to every crafting action.

Use your actual in-game Focus cost in the resource return rate calculator. A displayed base requirement is not your final cost after all applicable Destiny Board bonuses.

Keep potion families separate

The increased base-potion contribution covers healing, energy, gigantify, resistance, sticky, poison, invisibility and bootlegger potion families. The artifact group includes calming, cleansing, acid, berserk, hellfire, gathering, tornado and the new Lifeward family.

Do not apply the base-family number to Lifeward merely because the item is a potion. Its own recipe, specialization context and market price belong together. The Minor Lifeward Potion page provides that recipe entry point.

Apply the current combat values

Maximum-health reductions against mobs are capped at 25%, down from 50%; damage-output reductions against mobs are capped at 50%, down from 80%. These changes affect how debuff-heavy groups prepare for PvE.

Oathkeepers’ listed healing value increased from 30 to 66 at launch, then Patch 1 reduced it to 50. A launch-only summary showing 66 is outdated. Resilience-penetration changes were announced in a testing context and should not be treated as an unconditional permanent rule for all later seasons.

Use the revised progression views

The Destiny Board presentation groups related specializations and improves access to their levels and learning actions. Those interface changes do not make total fame and remaining fame interchangeable.

In the Destiny Board calculator, choose the actual line and enter current level and partial progress. Follow an unlock to the relevant equipment or ability rather than assuming every member of a grouped weapon family unlocks the same skill. Dragonfire also adds Ancient Memories and related Journal objectives.
