Refining resources
Refining turns gathered resources into materials for equipment. A recipe can require both raw resources and an already refined material from the previous tier. Check the exact recipe rather than assuming that every tier follows the same pattern.
Start with the material your recipe needs
The Adept’s Bow requires Pine Planks. Refining those planks has its own material requirements:
Following the lower-tier material shows the next step of the chain. Keep the two jobs separate: gather or buy the full input quantities, then account for expected resource returns when estimating your cost.
Follow the refining chain
Returns and station fees
The crafting calculator applies the selected city’s refining bonus and the Focus setting. Materials to bring are shown separately from their expected cost after returns. Enter the station’s actual silver fee; a zero fee is not a claim that every station is free.
Transmutation is a different recipe. For example, Titanium Ore can be transmuted from lower-tier ore with a silver cost. That ingredient is not returned. Check the item’s recipe before treating transmutation as ordinary refining.
Use the result
A material’s Used in crafting section links to the equipment that consumes it. Open Pine Planks to continue from materials to a finished item.
